So much so that teamwork is woven into the core of what we do. With the entire team investing heavily in building an authentic and collaborative workplace culture &#8211; getting our fix of employee engagement activities, skill development and designing creative learning experiences are just the way we roll here at Open. \ud83e\udd73<\/span>\r\n\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-684 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/open.money\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Team-Image-1.png\" alt=\"Open team | Open\" width=\"953\" height=\"605\" srcset=\"https:\/\/open.money\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Team-Image-1.png 953w, https:\/\/open.money\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Team-Image-1-300x190.png 300w, https:\/\/open.money\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Team-Image-1-768x488.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 953px) 100vw, 953px\" \/>\r\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;\"><b>Knocking on doors of experiential learning at Goa<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Though <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/forbestechcouncil\/2020\/01\/08\/five-strategies-to-improve-communication-with-team-members\/#56ccfdea4536\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">75% of employers believe collaboration and teamwork<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are the way forward, we\u2019re often guilty of working in comfortable silos.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let\u2019s skip right to the good stuff and tell you how we tore down our cubicles, stepped out of our little nooks and knocked on the doors of sheer collaboration.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For our off-site last year, we packed our bags and took off to the land of sun, sand and sea &#8211; Goa! \ud83c\udfd6\ufe0f\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While we feasted, partied and took in the scenic beauty to our heart\u2019s fill &#8211; we also had the privilege to be a part of an inspiring 2 day art-based workshop. But trust me when I say that immersive arts-based learning experiences are not aimed at collaboration alone. These workshops are designed to help you find shared values within the team, build trust and they have a profound impact on the way you process and perceive things.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We have to admit &#8211; we had a ball showing off our vocal prowess with some <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/By7GQiWh2Lw\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a cappella<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> singing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">! <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also got to channel our inner artist by indulging in some art with soulful music in the background.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Open | Perks of Art-based Workshop\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SfsZaRrH5sU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We were asked to unwind and kick-back in front of a blank canvas with <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">colours and brushes<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. With the music on, we used art as a medium of conversation to relive memories and create meaningful, shared visions.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gotta say this &#8211; we came out as true believers in collaborative art! <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Being able to understand and empathize with one another better, we were hooked on to synergy and a new-found team bond.<\/span>\r\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;\"><b>Unravelling skills with the pros<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/nilisha\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nilisha<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/madhu-smriti-shukla-14a6a93\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Madhu<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are two of our amazing trainers, who helm most of our workshops.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They use art forms to dive into topics like leadership, strategy and problem-solving. Reimagining the learning process has always been a joy-ride with them as they truly excel in creating experiential and inclusive learning spaces.<\/span>\r\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;\"><b>The remote chance<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nope, going remote has not hampered our regular dose of training and skill development. The sessions have now gone online and have only gotten a lot more fun!<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a part of us <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/open.money\/blog\/the-remote-way-of-team-building-by-openers\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">owning our remote work life<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, we\u2019ve been split up into different Ambassador groups where we meet up and connect every week.
